Oregon Beach Engagement Photos on the Samuel H Boardman Corridor

I recently had the chance to photograph a sweet couple, Kyra and Max, who came all the way from Alaska for their engagement session at Myers Creek Beach in Gold Beach, OR. This spot is one of my absolute favorites, and their session was so much fun!

Kyra and Max kicked things off by strolling along the beach, checking out the rock formations together. They were so much fun to photograph, exploring and just enjoying the moment. Next, they made their way up to some driftwood, taking in the ocean views. Max gave Kyra a piggyback ride, and they were laughing and having a blast!

The big moment came when Max got down on one knee right by the edge of the Pacific Ocean and proposed to Kyra.

It was such a beautiful and heartfelt scene. Kyra’s face lit up as she showed off her gorgeous ring, and you could just feel the love between them.

They kept the fun going by slow dancing and splashing around in the waves. It was so sweet to see them enjoying each other's company. As the sun started to set, they headed up to the beach grass to take in the last bits of daylight.

If you're thinking about booking an engagement session, here are a few tips to help you make the most of it:

1. Choose a Meaningful Location! Pick a spot that holds special meaning for you as a couple. Whether it's a beach, a park, or a favorite hangout, the location can add a personal touch to your photos.

2. Time of Day Matters! The best lighting for photos is usually early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The soft, golden light during these times, known as the golden hour, can make your photos look magical.

3. Be Yourselves! The best photos capture genuine moments. Don’t be afraid to be playful, romantic, or even a little goofy. Your unique connection will shine through.

4. Dress Comfortably! Choose outfits that make you feel good and reflect your personality. Coordinating colors can look great, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident.

5. Plan for Fun! Think about activities that you both enjoy and incorporate them into your session. Whether it’s strolling on the beach, having a picnic, or dancing, these moments can make your photos more dynamic and personal.

Kyra and Max's engagement session was filled with genuine joy, love, and laughter. It was such an honor to capture these special moments for them at Myers Creek Beach. I’m beyond excited for their future together!
